Carboot Sale Treasures

I got home from the carboot sale I went to the other day, when I realised that I never posted about the last one that I went too! I got some wonderful bits of jewelery that I've been wearing quite a lot. So I thought I would do some kind of bumper post, especially after being inspired by Zoe's post about what jewellery you can find at carboot's & in charity shops! Which is pretty fantastic.
I can't really tell you how much these were individually, because I just got from a stall where I collected a giant handful of everything I liked, and they charged me about £2-3 for the whole lot, which you've got to admit, is fairly excellent.
The green triangles I call my Quality Street earrings, 'cause I'm a dork.
The rings I wear on a daily basis, and the bracelet needs a few links replacing, so when I get on that, I'll be wearing it!
Just quick shots of me wearing some of them. The white enamel earrings are my absolute favourite, I wear them so much. They look really excellent with a slightly more dressy outfit, or to dress up a t-shirt and leggings. They're really good quality, too.
The giant 'pearl' and gold ones are clip on's, and although they make me look a bit Pat Butcher, they make me laugh. I haven't really worn them much cause they hurt a little bit, just around the house to keep me amused.
This is what I bought on Sunday! I didn't really find as many earrings, which upset me, but hey, I can cope. I can remember what some of this cost:
The silver ring on the far left: £4. For real silver, it's not too bad!
The silver owl brooch: £2. So gorgeous.
The colourful owl: I think about £3-4? There was an entire stall selling just owl-related stuff! It was amazing.
And the choker at the bottom cost me £2.
The other things I just picked up because they looked cute. The other silver ring with adjustable band is a mood ring! I didn't realise at the time because my hands were so cold, so it didn't change colour, but I'm fascinated by them! Haha. The earrings were just sort of cute, and the sovereign ring, although tacky, looks pretty cool.
I picked up the choker because it looked so similar to the bracelet I bought before!
The bracelet is on the left, the necklace on the right. Like I said, the bracelet is missing a few links, and the choker missing a clasp, but I'm gonna pick them up next time I go to Hobby Craft or somewhere, and wear them together!
This was the silver ring, it's absolutely gorgeous. It's actually too big for me, but it doesn't stop me from wearing it. I am in love with the shiny blue glass stone. Along with the white earrings, they're the best thing I've managed to find!
Also realised the best way to store my jewellery is in bowls and plates, so I picked up this little gold enamel bowl for 50p to keep my rings in!
I also picked up a cheeky Polaroid camera for a fiver, so I'm hoping it works! Need to hunt down some film on eBay. (:  I hope that was interesting! Do you guys go to charity shops or carboot sales? Let me know if you pick up any bargains. (:
Also I was thinking of having a little blog-sale, would anyone be interested?

Outfits & Faces

I hate the term outfit/face of the day, really. It just sounds awkward, but thats what this is. Here is what I wore for a little night out in town with some friends, having drinks before my friends went back to uni again! I'm actually quite an unconfident person, if I'm honest, and I don't ever really think I look that good, I just hope my appearance is not vomit-inducing, haha. I don't normally like going out because I feel self-conscious, etc. Anyway, that said, I felt quite nice! Which is an unusual occurrence.
I bought this dress ages ago, but forgot that I had it! I tried it on at this Outlet up the road from me, but they didn't have it in my size there, so I bought it online.. and I don't know, I just kind of forget when I buy things online, because I consider it much more, when I buy things in person, they're more impulsive and I want to wear them straight away.
Anyway, I've had it in my cupboard for a couple of months? I wasn't really sure with what shoes to wear it with, but in the end I wore it with my black Primark boots. I think I looked a bit of a goth in the end haha, but I liked it!

Lustlist 11/01/2010

Now that christmas is over, I've working lots of long hours at my work (to try and recuperate the money I spent leading up to Christmas!), which will pay off when I get my bonus, in March!
An ice watch. I don't really wear watches, but I want to start (also cause I'm fed up of not knowing the time!) - and I looked for vintage/second-hand watches, but I haven't really found any I love, yet. I'm going to keep on scouring charity shops, but unless I find one I really love, I think I'm going to invest in an ice-watch. I love all things green and bright and garish, and this might be the best of them all, I'm not quite sure! It's absolutely beautiful, I know that!

I really want a new MacBook Pro, but I don't think that is going to happen any time soon, so I'm thinking of sprucing it up a little bit? These are by SuzieAutomatic on Etsy, they used to have a a hummingbird one, but I couldn't see that, and then I came across these two! Right up my street. They're only $5, but I need to check out shipping, haha.

I know everyone's going a bit mad over the YSL Arty rings, but I have my eye on this beaute. It's £185, and my bonus is usually around £600, if not a bit more, so I'm thinking, if it's still there then, I may splash out on it! haha. Its absolutely stunningggg. How could you not want that?

A vintage fur-coat. I've been trying to find a really nice fake fur coat. Unfortunately, my search has been fruitless, which saddens me. The closest I've found is one from M&S, which still looked really.. fake. And then my fashionable friend Rachel went and blogged about her vintage fur coat, and I'm starting to realise that vintage might be the way to go.

I genuinely hate the idea of fur-farms and the manufacture of fur NOW. But I love taxidermy animals. And this is the analogy I'm working on, somehow, that a vintage coat is like taxidermy. I don't have to condone the killing of the animal to appreciate the fact its beautiful and even though something has happened, and it's now dead, I can still appreciate it. Does that make sense? Like, I wouldn't ever buy a new fur-coat. But I'm not letting something beautiful go to waste. I don't know. I have to find one I like, first, and then struggle with this moral dilemma I apparently have.

A holiday. I REALLY need one of these, dammit. I need to leave, at least for a little while. I'm planning a weekend break with some friends at Easter, but

Me & the people I'm moving in with next year.. we realllly want to get a little pet for the house. We considered cats. But then we came to the realisation that a little lop-eared house-rabbit would be best. And now I'm so excited for this! I can't wait, haha. I really hope we get one.
What are you guys lusting after..?

Lush Enzymion: Review

I promised this 1000 years ago (technical time, there.) This was part of my new and improved face routine, after I had a chat with someone I know who works for lush, and honestly, I've been sticking to it pretty well! I use Enzymion as a base every time I do my makeup, and I don't know whether it's the combination of eating healthier (well, with the exception of Christmas, I was doing really well) but my skin has improved a lot! I still get bad around that time of the month, but it's generally much better!
The price is the first step that we must conquer, let's do this together. £12.25 for 45g. 45g, is a teeny amount, really. If I hadn't tried a sample pot of this, I probably never would have tried it, I don't think. And then when I tried it, I liked it, but I still thought; it's not worth £12.25! But now, roughly two months later, I DO think it's worth it, definitely. I've barely made a dent in it, and I use it practically everyday!
It looks like a humble pot of creamy white moisturiser, and at first, I admit, I was a little skeptical about the smell. I'd been very much into more chemical-based products, that it smelled a little bit.. off? Now I'm used to it, it just smells lovely and fresh, but it took some getting used to.
As an actual product, it's beautiful. A little bit goes a long way so I kind of pat a few blobs all over my face after washing it, and then smooth it in and wait a few minutes. It doesn't sink in too quickly, like I felt Clinique's Dramatically Different Gel, did. Just the right time, I think. It leaves a slightly tacky feeling to the skin for a minute, ish, and then it's gone and you just feel nice and moisturised, my pores felt a little bit tighter and my skin soft. I definitely don't want to find a fault with this!

Price: 4/5
Packaging: 5/5
Product: 4/5
Overall: 5/5
Would I buy this product again?: I think so, yes!

Unfortunately, I'm getting a little collection of black pots, oh, what a shame.. haha. Hope this was helpful, I definitely love this product!

Happy New Year! I'm only six days late..

So 2010 is finished! Pretty crazy. Pretty exhausting. I didn't really think I'd done much this year.. apparently I was wrong! I seemed to have done a few trips (nowhere amazing, sadly!) and had some adventures... Pretty good stuff, really!  I thought I'd do a little breakdown in pictures. (:
