Clare Marie 5'10.5 Hopelessly romantic about unsuitable things (see: ideas, life plans, men) (gemini, istj) |
Hi there, I'm Clare, I'm a fine-art graduate with a regular nine-to-five, that needed a creative outlet for everything in my life. I was brought up in a sleepy, North Hampshire suburb in England, by a scientist father and a quilter, baker and knitter extraordinaire mother - and although I don't put an ounce of weight behind astrology, being a gemini fits me like a glove (restless, indecisive, superficial, adaptable). |
A lot of things, and that is why I blog; I love to bake and knit and go for walks, I try and read and travel as much as possible. I hate being bored, and try and pack my days-off with interesting things to do, whether that is taking spontaneous trips to a forest, or trying my hand at baking croissants from scratch.
I watch a lot of films and dream of hot, sunshiny days in Italian towns, where I think a little bit of me will always remain. You'll find me there, in my head, or walking about the local woods on a perfect, crisp Autumnal afternoon. Or maybe in an art gallery, or a museum, or my local knitting shop...

Uncia + Tigris is a happy mixture of all things I'm interested in. That's food, days out and adventures, craft and knitting, art and fashion, beauty and culture and all sorts of things mixed into one. I also try and talk about more serious things along the way, too, like about my struggles and successes with health and fitness. |
Panthera uncia is the Latin name for a Snow Leopard, and panthera tigris is a Tiger - my favourite animals. I also like Latin or Greek names for things, and double-barrelled words that roll off the tongue so it's sort of perfect, really. |

How about with some of my most popular posts? If food is your game, there is my flatbread recipe post, and the rest of my recipes can be found here. I also document my journey to health and fitness, with monthly updates that are very popular with the On Losing Weight series. I share lots of photos of my days out and excursions about my neck of the woods, like my day out in Milford-on-sea. |
