• This week I shared with you a recent favourite fragrance: Jo Malone Earl Grey and Cucumber cologne and also shared what I'm currently knitting.
• Sarah wrote a letter to September, but it looks more like summer in these pictures! 
• It might be too late in the year for lemonades, but the way this year has sped through, I'll be wanting to make these lemonade recipes before I know it... 
• And a long overdue congratulations to Rosie; her wedding photos are absolutely gorgeous!
• October is the month for flavoured coffees, gradually warming us into the dark winter months, so here's a recipe for a gingerbread latte and a pumpkin spice syrup to put into your coffees! 
• As ever, my head is in another country, so heres 5 days in Copenhagen and 2 days in Rome. 
• Some sweet pictures of the beginning of autumn over at Slugs on the Refrigerator.
• I just thought these fish illustrations were really cute.. 
• Ancient woodland is rare these days, but it does feel very special when you find it.

• Rosie's Parisian adventures look so perfect and so pretty, I really want to visit again.

• The Skovtur mitten pattern by Karie would make perfect Christmas presents for people: knit in a worsted weight yarn, they'd knit up super quickly, too.

• This week I shared the other half of my trip to Wisley - I really can't wait to go back when autumn is in full swing - and also my thoughts on What to do when you hit a Weight-loss Plateau. 
• I would love to see this suspended swimming pool - but you would never get me in it in a million years, haha. 
• 15 reasons why the 2000 VMA's were amazing. Literally my youth summed up in a post! 
• I loved these sunny photos celebrating the end of the summer from Alex. 
• They go perfectly with Sarah's hilltop picnic.
• All the hand-made details in Kate's beautiful Scottish wedding make my heart sing - I would love to have a special day like this. 
• Kate's wedding, along with Mimmi's postcard from the Isle of Skye make me want to explore some more of Scotland. 
• I love Freya's attitude to dealing with fear. It's something I've found myself experiencing more and more recently, and I want to tell it to bugger off.
• I love finding an absolute gem of a blog: Lovely Life. 
• Morocco is still on my hit list, even more so due to these beautiful pictures. 
• I like it when other people open up about their internal monologue's - makes me think I'm a bit less neurotic - I can completely identify with Lauren's post. 
• I'm sharing this post mostly because I find the the yarn is stunning - I need it. 
• Lovely, plant-filled homes have my heart, as always. 
• Every so often I remember Bri's beautiful Dress Your Tech series - and want to change my laptop background 100 times. 
• And lets round off this post with a mouth-watering looking Salted Caramel frosting. Salted caramel anything is my bag, as most of my friends can attest to. 

I just wanted to give you a heads up that I might be a bit busy for the coming weeks - I have some time off booked with my friend for a little adventure, which means a couple of mad (but sneakily short weeks!) at work; I might be a bit up in the air, but you can always catch me over on Pinterest (please link yours up below!), Instagram and Twitter, as always, spouting nonsense and giving a tipsy commentary on Star Wars. 

(Yeah, I know this usually goes up on a Sunday, but Bank Holiday Monday's are basically Sunday's, aren't they?)

• This week I made fun of bloggers and their peony obsession (in jest), and shared my recipe for banana matcha ice-cream. 
• More pretties from the upcoming Ikea collection - the cork jars and the soft furnishings look right up my street.
• I've never tried panna cotta - maybe I've been living under a rock - but I'm willing to give it a go for salted caramel panna cotta.
• There are so many places I want to visit - my aunt is sending me pictures from Dubrovnik, and the internet is telling me to visit Slovenia...
• Freya's pictures from Pakistan are so interesting and beautiful, I highly recommend her blog if you have not taken the time to check it out. 
• I want to read more by Margaret Atwood - and Jennie has reviewed The Edible Woman, which looks very interesting. 
• Being nice is something that as a bit of a bitch, I find hard to do - it's something I need to work on. I even make fun of the word nice...!
• I often link things from Spoon and Tamago, an amazing blog that shows weird and wonderful creative things from Japan: but I would suggest it if you love finding odd things that you had no idea you wanted to see. Like this sprawling treehouse, or these sweet little animated gifs, not unlike something from a Studio Ghibli film
• Another week, another ice-cream (I refuse to acknowledge the fact we're half-way through August!): roasted banana and coconut ice-cream. 
• I am visiting the Peak district in a few weeks, and I know that's not quite Yorkshire, but the dales and ridings of Yorkshire county and all that it has to offer is somewhere I wouldn't say no to spending some time. 
• I was eagerly awaiting the photos from Rosie's honeymoon: she does not disappoint. 
• I should not read Alice's blog, it gives me unrealistic expectations of life, generally, but holidays, too.
• Like Kate, I have dreams of planting a wildflower meadow in the garden, but I need to make sure I follow these guidelines.  
• I need to keep telling myself that where I live is beautiful too, because I forget. 
• Cannock Chase in Staffordshire is not very far from where a lot of my family live, but it looks so beautiful - I must make a point of visiting. 
• As per usual, I cannot resist a good garden, this week it's the Botanical Gardens in Berlin. 
• I always forget that my garden birds are not the same elsewhere, they're just such staples in my life, that it would be weird not to see them every day.
• Ruth's tour of the lovely little shops and quirky spaces of the PMQ in Hong Kong are making me want to visit there, also.

• This week I shared one of my new favourite spots: the Barbican conservatory - and also talked about summer wishlists & sweet summer memories. 
• Blackberry season is coming - I keep watching the blossom with a held breath, awaiting the time that I can pick them until my hands are blood red.
• Soap is something I don't give much thought to - but these L'Occitane soaps look amazing. 
• I need to explore more of my locale - I really do forget how beautiful Hampshire is. 
• I'm not even planning on going there anytime soon, but this is in my interests: 12 pastry shops to visit in Paris. 
• I'm trying to organise my life and get my diary sorted, but it means I've been looking at pretty planners that are unnecessary (but cute). 
• I think a green bathroom suite would be beautiful - something straight out of a Wes Anderson film, like all interior design that I aspire to have. 
• This hindu temple is not really the kind of thing you expect to see in LA, but its so pretty. 
• I dream of one day being able to afford to have a custom perfume - until that day I'll just be forever on the hunt for my signature scent. 
• I'm not good at cooking savoury food really, even worse at anything that involves hot oil - but this recipe for buttermilk fried chicken looks amazing.  
• I loved this post from Hazel Jane so much: you don't have to quit your job to live your life. She talks about making the most of your weekends, your evenings off, your free-time, which is something I've been trying to do more of recently. 
• I really loved this little video from Gillian with a day in her life - I feel very proud that I recognise little bits of Edinburgh.
• I think this potato salad looks so good - particularly with the fancy coloured potatoes. 
• Botanical gardens and crystals? This Paris honeymoon looks like something I would be totally on board with. 
• I keep on meaning to try a chia seed pudding and just haven't got around to it yet... 
• Sometimes I'm really good at reading lots - sometimes I feel like I have too many hobbies (reading, blogging, knitting, baking, travelling) to fit into my spare time. I really want to stop making excuses for running out of time to do these things. 
• I want to bake this pistachio chocolate cake, in honour of the bake-off beginning this week, at the same time I've lost my first pound in weeks, so probably shouldn't. 
• I think I link every single post Sarah makes - but I'm just in love with her dreamy blog, her photos of the quintessential english countryside she seems to live in makes me sad that I do not live there...
• West-Wittering was a beach we'd often ship our family down to on hot weekends, with good reason, it's such a pretty beach, and I have very found memories of the sea!
• Pak Choi is pretty underrated, and I'm glad other people agree.
• I've also got back into knitting again in a big way, and am obsessed with all things podcasts at the moment.
• Can you tell I'm lusting after the coast at the moment? Cornwall, Devon and Somerset are all that's on my mind at the moment... 
• I'm still not over my ice-cream moment, I'm sorry: chocolate chunk peanut butter soft-serve.

• I shared my recipe for lemon and thyme bars this week, which seemed to go down well, and I want to try making them again! 
• This morning I also shared my lovely new whale measuring cups I picked up from Anthropologie... 
• The problem with following lots of beautiful blogs, is getting ideas from all their beautiful holidays... Recently, Croatia has been calling to me, and I really want to visit. There's also Slovenia, and all these beautiful places that I've never considered until recently. Or Turkey, which has been on my wishlist for years, along with Kefalonia. Or even the Grand Canyon in America...
• Then there is also Venice, which I have visited before (though I'm not sure I ever shared with you my photos?!) and has captured my heart with it's aqua water and skies.
• I don't visit the South Downs nearly often enough - considering they're practically on my doorstep, I really should... 
• On a similar note, I forget how beautiful this country is, how much I love our coastline: Cornwall and Devon really have my heart.
• I love Tayler's blog: kittens and sunsets and general Portland beautifulness. 
• This weeks edition of homes to lust after: Jason Grant's house in Rue. The colour, the plants, the furniture, the paintings.. so perfect.
• I think you can tell my mood by how many travel posts there are linked today - but I'm so excited for my New York trip later this year, I'm devouring posts like Georgina's for the best tips and places to visit. 
• I'd be lying if I said that I wasn't excited for the 2016 Ikea catalogue collection - there are some gems in there - the greenery, the wood, the cork, the glass, the colours... 
• In general, he quality and styling of the photos on THAT GRACE GIRL's blog make me want to buy all the beautiful items, but I love the brand Aesop, and I really want to try their haircare. 
• Sunsets are precious, the golden hour even more so. They remind me of my childhood and lazy summers. 
• I discovered Sarah's blog a fortnight or so ago, and I'm so smitten with it: The Salty Sea Blog reminds me of all my holidays as a child, and I am in love with her dreamy photography.
• I've finally got around to putting my name on the allotment waiting list (one of my goals for the year)! After losing ours last year, I've missed it terribly, so even if I have to wait a while, I can live vicariously through Rachel's green fingered exploits. 
• As a girl that has never been 'skinny' (conventionally, etc) - I know that I've probably skinny shamed in the past, and I forget that it can be as harmful as fat shaming, so I really enjoyed this post from Saoirse. 
• There is something about road-trips that I just adore - I have a few coming up with my friend Gemma around the UK, and whilst it isn't as exciting as Sophie's trips to Canada, Australia and Hawaii, they'll do.
• And to round off this summery, travel heavy post: have a summer playlist to go along with these far-off places and pretty photographs. :)

• This week I sat down and talked my thoughts on blogging with you - and the culture we created for ourselves. I loved your responses, and it was so well received, I couldn't have been happier. 
• I've also fallen back in love with Pinterest (it goes in phases) and I'm trying to make my feed super pretty because I'm superficial like that. I'd love it if you had a look. :) 
• I'm always looking for a way to use up a few sad bananas in the fruit bowl: banana blondies seem like a good way forward! 
• If you're into trying out some ice-cream recipes, like I am, here is a list of common ice-cream issues and how to fix them. 
• Some stunning, dreamy, pastel photographs of a city that look like something from a movie. 
• This elderflower, lemon and mascarpone cake looks like the most perfect summer wedding cake... 
• I'm bookmarking this amazing looking pie crust recipe for blackberry season, when I will want to make a hundred blackberry pies... 
• I have been to Glencoe, but didn't get a chance to see Eilean Donan castle: it looks absolutely amazing.
• Jane's afternoon in the city looks lovely, after a few weekends off from galavanting about in the capital, it makes me want to go back. There is something fun about being in London in the summer....

• I've tried making ice-lollies and all sorts before, without much luck, but I dream of making lovely Magnum-esque treats. Or perhaps these 'dark and stormy popsicles'... 
• I've seen so many ways to make iced-coffee, but in particular, freezing your espresso so you get really cold, not watery coffee - when I saw Lizzie's iced-coffee 'recipe', it gave me the kick up the bum to try it... post coming soon!

• As I'm not going on holiday this year until the Autumn, I'm living vicariously through everyone's holiday snaps, like Sarah's trip to Kefalonia

• Did you miss my summer reading update this week, or the summer fragrance I've been loving for these sunny July days? 
• I'm a sucker for photographs of an idyllic summer afternoon.
• Sock knitting is amazing for travelling and picking up and putting down, but it comes with it's own challenges, here is a great post of sock knitting FAQ's.
• Katie, of Long May She Rain, has got an adorable new arrival: Mia. The cutest puppy I've seen in a long time! 
• Some great tips for working from home. Even if you don't have a team or an office and are just a blogger, these are really great tips.
• Strobing is now apparently a thing, contouring is done, apparently. Is it weird that I have literally always contoured and/or 'strobed' (if you will)? Since I got into makeup in a big way at like 14-16, I've contoured and highlighted. Am I a trendsetter or just weird? Answers on a postcard. 
• For all you hipsters/illuminati out there - an Instagram of triangles. That grid though, oh wow.
• The pictures in this 1946 yearbook are beautiful - such great hair, clothes, style, and sayings. So cute!
• I really want to see a bit more of Scotland, particularly the islands, and this tour of historic sites around Orkney is not helping matters. Everyone says Scotland is beautiful in the summer and I really want to see for myself...
• Ohhhhh yes: peanut butter granola bars. Need I say more?
• I'm certain I featured Homestead Seattle in one form or another last week - but their aesthetic is literally my dream. See their tumblr for more joy.
• I probably feature Door Sixteen most weeks too, but they've found a collection of pink kitchens, which I oddly really love.
• Found on Pinterest this week, chocolate pull apart rolls. You're welcome!  
• These adorable little knitted jumpers remind me of things my mum would've knitted for me and my brothers; so sweet!
• These photographs of Tollymore Forest Park and a Yeats poem go so well together. 
• A mammoth post, but well worth sitting down to read: Ruth's Hong Kong photo diary is spot on. 
• I thought these Star Wars prints were so cool, very Japanese and just perfect.
• Why is it when me and mum start reminiscing about certain dishes, I see recipes for it everywhere? I've seen two for a pineapple upside down cake, this weekend alone..
• I also found and fell in love with The Salty Sea Blog this week. Sarah takes us on a trip along the ocean road: one my parents used to take us on every year to the seaside town of Croyde for our family holidays. So many adorable memories..

• I shared a few pictures of my summer afternoon, last week, before I got ill..
• More beautiful photos of green spaces over on Mittenska's blog, she takes the most perfect photographs, and her surroundings are just gorgeous. I can't wait until I can live in a little piece of countryside, and go wandering in meadows to reset. I must get outside more.
• I thought this travel memories picture box was such a cute idea - I am a hoarder of all ephemera when I come back from holidays (ticket stubs, receipts, trinkets) and I never know what to do with them all. 
• This colour blocked chocolate with edible flowers is absolutely gorgeous - I think it would make the perfect treat for an afternoon tea or hen party... book marking for future reference! 
• This shelving unit is a thing of beauty.
• About halfway down this post is the most stylish little blue bathroom with palm print wallpaper.  
• Sometimes the homes I admire, and as such would want to emulate, can be a little cold, as I like a lot of white walls and wood - but this home looks cosy, despite having all that.
• Still on that ice-cream kick - I really want to have a go at this banana matcha ice-cream, it looks really good. 
• Actually useful interview tips - I think I followed the majority of these in my most recent job interview!
• Becky gave us a sneak-peek into the new Scandinavian inspired homeware and clothing collection at House of Fraser, Gray & Willow, and this makes me very excited! The ceramics in particular have piqued my interest...
• What's the worst thing you've ever done on the Sims - and the linked sub-Reddit kept me amused for quite some time. And I thought just trapping them in the swimming pool was evil!
• Every summer, I try and make my own iced tea, and it's never as nice as when I usually get it - which seems to be in London at the height of a summer day, and it is the most refreshing thing. I think I'll try Brittany's mint iced-tea, as my mum bought a new mint-plant for the garden today.
• I discovered Rachel's blog, Life with the Roof Down this week, and I fell in love with her picturesque views over the Malvern hills.  
• Some towns, like Bruges, I associate solely with Christmas and Winter, but Laura makes a persuading case for the canal lined streets in the summer. 
• If I had enough flat space in my garden, I would so get a little pop-up geodesic greenhouse!  
• When I was an angry teenager, I used to make fun of stuffy English stately homes, but as I've grown older, I've rediscovered the love of a National Trust place, I'm not too far from Deborah, so need to visit some of the places she's mentioned - but I am absolutely in love with Stourhead, even after all these years. 
• I've also been photocising (a term I'm not sure I'm a fan of!) for years - and I love the therapeutic nature of exercising your creativity whilst going for a wander.

• I'm giving away a copy of Clariel by Garth Nix! 
• I also shared with you my recipe for Pina Colada ice-cream - I'm officially off ice-lollies (so last summer!) and into ice-cream with a passion. 
• All the colour and texture in Louise Zhang's artwork and studio, is like a visual feast, I could spend hours staring at her work. 
• I really want to up my game with my food photography, so I might have to source some props over the next few weeks, so this is really useful to read.
• I'm beginning to master the heatwave makeup (SPF and as little as possible!) but I loved Oly's skincare for a hot day moving house. 
• If I could be bothered to caramelise some bananas in the morning, I would definitely have them on my porridge.
• Small houses full of greenery and wood is all I want from my future. Mardi Doherty's home is a close contender.
• These vintage colour photos look like they've come out of an issue of Oh Comely, I'm in love with the soft focus of them. 
• Black houses are seriously cool. 
• York is one of those places I've wanted to visit for ages, and Stephanie's photos are aboslutely amazing, particularly those in the museums she's visited. It looks so gothic and ancient, and has definitely jumped up my list of places to visit. 
• What is the most beautiful thing you've read? I want to do this on my blog...  
• My friend and I are off to New York in the autumn, and I can't wait to do some shopping in the city.
• Of recent years, I've been quite lucky with heatwaves, as I used to work inside a heavily air-conditioned supermarket. This week I endured it in an office - such a different game, I understand #heatwave, now.
• Summer is a time for salads and thrown together food - so I've fallen in love with the look of this sweet potato salad, and I want to give it a go.
• Since making my ice-cream the other week and realising quite how easy it is - it makes me want to try out other kinds, and this peach and bourbon ice-cream looks amazing.
• I'm also seriously tempted by this roasted cherry and lavender ice-cream. 
• As always, Eleanor talks seasonal living in July - it is my absolute favourite month to spend lazing around outdoors whenever possible. Our garden table broke this week so I spent yesterday sprawled on the grass with my magazine - so perfect.
• I've also discovered two new blogs that are beautiful and amazing. I feel like they've captured my youth, somehow, in completely different entities. Mitenska looks like everything I remember from my childhood, but with more horses, and Sophie Isobel Asher just reminds me of my mum in an odd way.

• This week I shared my favourite new bed-linen by Christy - it's made me feel quite luxurious when I go to bed!
• One of my favourite blogs, Creative Countryside has had a new layout and I loved Eleanor's post about taking the time for simple pleasures - something I need to remember to do! 
• The style of Michelle's catch-up post is really adorable, plus I love seeing her snapshots of her life in HK. 
• A really inexpensive way to brighten up a dressing table: with a glass topped dresser and some decals.
• Otters are freaking adorable. 
• I just really loved these summer collages that Luce shared this week - gets me in the mood for sunshine! 
• I follow Homestead Seattle on Instagram (which you need to be following!) but their house is absolutely everything I would want my home to be: full of wood, crystals and beautiful plants.
• Everytime summer rolls around, I want to drink all the cocktails, and make beautiful fancy drinks, like Kate's raspberry and rose cocktail - it would be the perfect hot weather drink. 
• There are things that I understand now that I work in an office... I love this tumblr: London Grumblr, who doesn't love a good GIF? 
• I have apologised for my height literally since I could speak. I am 'blessed', as my mother would say, with an almost 5'11 stature, which is something that's always made me feel a bit awkward - but I loved to read this article about why tall girls should not apologise for being tall. 
• My friend and I are planning a little weekend break in the Peak District - I hope we have as good weather as Charlotte had - that view is glorious. 
• I've said it before, but I really do hate using stock photos on my blog (I don't think I ever have?!) and Zie tells us exactly why stock photos are bad for your blog.
• Both my brothers and my dad do a lot of serious walking - and it's something I want to try and get into. Jen's 3 Yorkshire peaks walk is something I could never do, but since I've had to abandon running whilst my knee heals, it might be something to take up. 
• I don't get FOMO as much as travel-envy and severe nostalgia - for example I've never been to this beautiful bit of France, but it reminds me of hot days in Italy, that I long to do again.

• I'm trying to get to know my readers - I'd love it if you took part!
• I've seen so pictures this week from around the UK, mostly of Devon and Cornwall, of beautiful sunny beaches and tropical looking harbours, and these of Salcombe in Devon are so pretty - I popped down to Hayling Island a few weekends ago, but it was a bit too chilly for sunbathing...
• A polar opposite to the pretty pictures of UK shores - these views from the belfry in Bruges, looking atmospheric in the mist.
• Whilst we're here - have some more beach photos and summer beauty tips.
• I had a morning of potting my beautiful new monstera delicosa (swiss cheese plant!) today - in a giant pot that isn't very pretty, but it'll be able to grow and get huge and healthy in. These pots and plants are adorable, though. 
• Petra in Jordan is on my bucketlist, but I'll vicariously through blogposts for now.
• This dome-shaped home is one of the most amazing constructions, I have visions of living in places like this. 
• I feel like one of those things that you're supposed to like are macarons - they're cute and fruity and pastel coloured, what's not to like? In any case, I never rated them until a few weeks ago when I was given some from a Paris patisserie, and I'm now obsessed with them - to the point where these photos make me want some!
• I'm not a good flier in large plane, I'd probably be a nervous wreck in a light aircraft, but these photos from Carrie's flight are so pretty.
• A summery iPhone wallpaper - which I think I'll be downloading! 
• I'm trying to convince literally anyone to come with my to the Sky Garden because it looks so amazing.
• I have a lot of feeling about the new breed of a celeb autobiography, which is a YouTuber book (the misleading of their viewers, the irony of them harping on about authenticity whilst slapping their name on any old rot) - so it's actually really refreshing to hear a Blogger talk about turning down a book deal, I applaud Lily Melrose's authenticity.

• These pictures almost don't make me terrified of flying. Almost.
• So who is going to bake me this ssalted caramel brownie cake? Any takers? I'll let you eat it with me...

• It's always good to push your self to learn new things - I've neglected my camera recently, and need to pick it up again.

• Recently on Uncia + Tigris, I spoke about my love of ruined photos, I shared with you a recipe for amazing, clean, chocolate treats, and this week I shared a need peak at my dressing table.
• I am a huge Instagram-nerd, I am a little bit obsessed with the platform, and I love finding new, pretty accounts to follow. It's like real-life Pinterest. 
• I am in love with this piece of writing from my friend Meghan, How to do religion when you don't believe in god - it does perfectly sums up a lot of the struggles I've had with religion over the years.
• I've been to Brighton quite a few times now, but I've never taken the time to visit Lewes, despite there being a castle and some interesting history, but Carrie makes it look so adorable.
• Cat's flat is filled with the most amazing trinkets, furniture and she's the queen of styling a photo - I have dreams of living in a flat like hers!
• Freya's garden (the last picture) is the most perfect looking garden - I can't believe she lives in London!
• Isometrically perfect cubes of food - is apparently a thing I didn't know my life was missing.
• I've fallen off my healthy-eating bandwagon quite terribly these last few weeks - so I'm desperately reading anything and everything about getting back on track, like this How to have a healthy week.
• I have wanted to visit Athens for the longest time, although a lot of people say it's not the best city, all that amazing ancient architecture clouds my judgement. 
• Hazel's first-try florentines look so good! Definitely saving this one for future use... 
• A really interesting post about knitting vs lifestyle brands, of sorts. 
• I miss the rhubarb bush in the allotment, with a passion - a rhubarb crumble was one of the highlights of the end of summer, without a doubt. I would like to try out these rhubarb curd bars, though.
• I'm impressed that a work handbag can be so neat and tidy - mine is a black-pit of forks and napkins, receipts and train tickets, cables and phone chargers.
• Sorcha shared with us a visit to Petersham nurseries, and it looks like one of those beautiful little hidden gems - it's not that far from where I live. Might be a lovely little spot for a bank holiday Monday...
• A selection of lovely libraries - it is my dream to have one of my own. 
• Gillian has nailed the perfect spring into summer transition outfit - and she looks amazing.
• On the subject of outfits, I also know the feeling of having that item of clothing that gives you confidence - I have a black, 60's style pea-coat that I got over the winter, that instantly makes me feel like I can on the world.
• I'm always thrown by herbs with sweet things (like mint with strawberries, what?) - but I'm willing to risk it for this amazing looking lemon and thyme cake.
• I like to think I followed all of these interview tips (I got the job) but my interviewer might tell you differently, haha, but I think they're all good, solid tips.
• I really admire Becky's confidence for addressing her current struggles - a lot of the time blogs gloss over the hard parts of life. She's a great blogger, is Becky, and often addresses things that no-one else will - like are you blogging for the wrong reasons? (The answer is no, for anyone and everyone!)

• I talked about my love of cherry blossom this week (so basic white girl blogger, whatever) and coming around to espresso's, after 25 years!
• Jane takes beautiful photos anyway, but I love these pictures of a rainy, film-noir-esque black and white Sydney at night.
• I love this particular dish from Zizzi - so Lizzie's healthier and Slimming World compliant version of strozzapetti is right up my street; definitely going to try it this week!
• This Projection LA art installation is absolutely stunning. I'm not sure what it's about (I'm going to research, now!) but that white palm tree against the blue sky is just the one.
• Generally I'm not a giant fan of those letters to my sixteen year old self...blog posts that bloggers adore, but I could've written Charlotte's ("boys from Slough and Newbury aren't exotic"!).
• I would give my right arm to visit this amazing glass tea-house at this temple, it creates rainbows through the prisms in the building, which make it so you can 'hold' a rainbow. So amazing!
• There's also the Texan's guide to Tokyo, if that kind of thing floats your boat!
• I can't help but dream of summer skies and sunsets when it's grey and rainy...
• I wish someone had beat these observations on people into my when I was 13 - probably would've saved me a lot of hassle!
• Some lovely blog post prompts from Eleanor for the month of may.
• Dream homes with dream plants are my kryptonite. 
• I want to eat this: avocado and chickpea salad sandwich. Definitely making for dinner one night this week!
• I am keen to look after the birds in my garden, but bird feeders are expensive - so I really love this super cheap and effective DIY bird feeder.
• Anya perfectly sums up the struggle of being a blogger, and managing expectations all in one, in her quest to photograph a sunset. I feel ya, Anya!
• Chrissy's little Italian vlog is adorable and makes me want to get my butt back over there - something I probably won't have the time this year, but I'm putting it on my list for next year!
• I think I found this via a blog this week - but I've discovered Stuff You Should Know, which are great. I like to learn things, so I think I'm going to download a bunch to try and listen too on the way from work. I'm currently listening to the How Sea Monsters Work episode - which I'm loving.
• I live for chorizo, essentially, and lots of other cured salami's and meats, so I could do with about a hundred chorizo based recipes - however for now I'll settle with Rosie's 3 Ways with Chorizo.

• This week I shared with you my tips for first time runners, which I've unfortunately had to pack in for the mean-time (however, I will definitely take it up when my knee is rested!) and my somewhat unseasonable iced biscuits!
• If you weren't aware - Sali Hughes makes the most amazing Youtube videos, in which she discusses all things makeup and beauty in a famous (usually a make-up artist's) bathroom, and there is a new one up with Val Garland.
• Rosie shared with us some photos of her trip around the Dordogne area in France, with some lovely photos of a market in Brive, so perfectly French, it's adorable. She also visited Turenne which looks beautiful. 
• I'm adding the Horniman museum to my list of places to visit next - I've always been aware of it but never really thought about visiting until I saw Hannah's stunning photos. I'm also having a greenhouse moment again (you'll see next week...) and her photos of the glasshouse at Kew are stunning.
• Summer is around the corner, and in my house, this means jam making. In the heat of the late summer, my mother can be found stood over a giant cauldron with sugared fruit simmering away - so strawberry jam will forever remind me of summer. 
• I need to get more creative with my healthy breakfasts because at the moment I'm downing a fruit juice and scoffing a banana at my desk, and it's just not cutting it! 
• I'm currently in the progress of planning a little summer break to the north with my friend - we were considering Derbyshire (how very Austen) but recently, Yorkshire has been occupying my thoughts... 
• I'm crap at photographing birds, but Rachel got a few shots of a lovely woodpecker that frequents her garden!
• Sarah shows us a beautiful little spot in her local woods that has spring written all over it. 
• Japan is appealing to me more and more the older I get - I think it's something to do with my obsession with Japanese ceramics or the cherry blossom lined streets. If only it wasn't so far away, and if only I wasn't deathly afraid of flying and earthquakes.. haha... 
• I really want to have a go at making meringues, it's something I've just never tried but they look really fun and easy - I'm definitely going to try making these rhubarb meringues with ginger cream, they'll be perfect to round off a summer BBQ or picnic...
• I've got back into knitting again! Hurrah. I had a few months where I just didn't feel like doing it. I kept looking at this jumper I was making for my brother and just couldn't be bothered. But I'm happy again, and browsing patterns again - how adorable are these little double thickness mitts?
• They're very hipster-Pinterest-y but I absolutely love these golden prism planters, and I had to talk myself out of buying a big copper one in Home Sense the other day..
• Bethan's mini-playlist is perfect for sunny drives home from work, I've added them into my own playlists!

• This week I shared what I've been upto on Instagram and mused on the culture of relying on 'curated' snapshots - and I would urge you to check out my Instagram itself as I shared many spring-like photographs of the gardens I visited this weekend over there!
• A banana primose lemon cake sounds so odd and so good all at the same - I want to try it out so badly!
• Michelle always writes some excellent articles - I loved this about balancing a blog and a full time job. I've worked in a full-time job for about half a year now, and it's still a struggle for me to find what suits me.
• I can't resist a beautiful living room - I devour interiors these days, now that moving out seems like a realistic sort of dream - and Charlotte's is just spot on! It's a perfect mix of cosy fabrics, interesting little trinkets, and colour and minimalism at the same time, very inspiring. 
• I love anything ornithological (I spelled that right first time you know!) - and these beautiful bird illustrations are right up my street - they're so detailed and pretty, I wish I got to see them for myself!
• I adore the format of Marion's what's on my mind post - its so simple and spot on. 
• Jane shared with us her trip to Pebbly Beach, and it's inhabited by kangaroos! I loved this, it just made me smile on my feed, haha. She also visited Batemans Bay, which is absolutely stunning. I need to get my feet on some sand ASAP!
• Why aren't beautiful little zen gardens with koi ponds and bonsai trees more prolific in this country? I visited the RHS gardens at Wisley this weekend and they had a bit of both, and I did feel very peaceful.
• This is everything I want in terms of scenery, objects, interiors, exteriors, design, food, photography... everything I aspire to have and make! If I thought it was practical in any way, shape or form I'd hang everything from giant pieces of driftwood...
• A gluten-free blueberry cake that I could scoff right now.
• I recently discovered that Lyme Park was very close to where a lot of my family up in t'north, so when I saw those lovely pictures I added to my ever growing list of places to visit...
• Personally, I don't understand why you would ever have fake plants in their house (when some houseplants are insanely easy to look after!) but Anna presents a good case for it, particularly if you have a windowless room.
• These perfect, little round peanut butter cookies look super easy to make, I might have a go at them today! 
• Summer has made the most of a small office space, and made it a lovely and focusing little space to work.
• I have yet to visit the beach this year, and I'm getting a little desperate and consuming any beach related blog-posts, Eleanor's is no exception!
• I have a friend who loves white chocolate, but hates dried fruit - so I think I'll need to experiment with this recipe, but I think I might whip her up a batch of white chocolate tiffin. 
• I seemed to have collected a few travel posts this week, but I really want to visit the New Forest again - I went in the Autumn and paid a visit to Lymington and to Milford-on-Sea, but Freya's photos are stunning, as always, and make me want to visit again.
• Making a facial steam with flowers and essential oils sounds lovely, I think I'm going to have a bit of pamper evening tonight, face mask, hair masks, facial steam, the lot!
