- I was guilty of being one of those people that contributed to the flood of New Year Resolutions posts, and I know everyone was probably sick of them, but I wanted to record where I was after a year of weight-loss, fitness, and stuff... However, I really loved Gillian's post, Be your own Girl, about not listening to all the pithy crap people spout (myself included).
- On a similarish note, Terri's post about the Riot Grrl movement and a film about it has got me all sort of excited about feminism again and also a little nostalgic for the music of my youth.
- Travel snobbery is for sure I thing, and probably a thing that I have probably been guilty of, and I love Gemma's post on her perspective of it, and making the most of any location. I also think it works both ways, though, when I say that I am going on holiday to a city break (aside from Devon & Cornwall, I've never done a beach-holiday and have no desire to do so haha), I've had some really rude responses about why I wouldn't
- I've been a fan of Eleanor's blog, Creative Countryside, since I found it initially, and I loved her Winter Walks photos - as well as her monthly eating seasonally post, something I am striving to do! I've been having good meals of british winter veg soups and casserole, and am loving it!
- Trying to get back on that healthy eating train, and I've been trying to absorb as many ideas for healthy food and lunches as possible, and Buzzfeed is helping me with that, but so is the lovely Lizzie at Blue October. I've been following her Instagram and liking all her photos, with all kinds of delicious food that I really want to try out, and can't wait to.
- Buying more ethically and being more wise about what I am consuming is something I'm striving for this year, particularly after an indulgent Christmas where I definitely didn't consider these things at all, and I love Jessica's opinion on it over at Gingerly Pale.
- I can't resist a good photo of frosty countryside, I'm so sorry.
- When I'm an adult (cause I'm definitely not already) I want to have beautiful rugs on hardwood floors. I can't help but think people that have them in the kitchen, though, don't really use their kitchen properly, I'm always chucking shit all over the place..
- I want to travel somewhere, I haven't in so long and whilst I never thought that I wanted to go to Osaka or Vancouver, both these travel diaries make me reconsider those thoughts.
- I was also lucky enough to receive an Olivia Burton watch for Christmas like Hazel Jane, and I've had so many compliments on it since I've been wearing it!
- Do you like Venice, beautiful photos AND yummy looking citrus meringue tarts? I give you, Local Milk.
- I absolutely adore Michelle's post about how to make your blog copy really stand-out, I find myself using the same old adjectives and descriptions over and over again, and it's something I really want to improve upon in 2015!
Great links, plenty of reading material for me here. Thanks.
