- There is a new Game of Thrones trailer and I couldn't be more excited. I think I've managed to separate the books from the show, mentally, and that is good for everyone.
- If you missed it this week, I shared my new handbag and it's contents with you, so be sure to check that out.
- In a week where every snowdrop, daffodil and crocus I see fills me with a heartbeat of joy, it's good to re-familiarise ourself with rules about picking wildflowers, cheers Guardian.
- When Lent is up, I'm definitely going to have a go at making these raw, vegan and gluten free chocolate ganache squares that Rachel Phipps shared this week - they look like a less-decadent version of a millionaire's shortbread!
- There is also these no-bake cookies from Oh Ladycakes, which are very much like my dark chocolate protein bites, so I'm going to give these a go...
- Maybe I'm on a chocolate kick this week, but I ALSO want to try Lizzie's faux-Nakd bar balls, which look very easy and tasty.
- Or maybe I'm just craving cakes really badly this week, but I want to try yet another banana bread recipe, this one has flour but also courgette, so I want to try it for that reason.
- Alex's DIY for cardamom scented candles is right up my street, so I'm definitely going to try this when I've used up the 100 candles I have in my bedroom, at the moment....
- I discovered Hayley's blog through Chelsea (of chelseawears/shopanomie fame), and I really love her tone of writing, it feels more like journalism than blogging, which is no bad thing, but basically, I'm hooked.
- Another blog I discovered this week (can't remember where, though) is The Cafe Cat, which just has beautiful photography, great content and everything I love.
- I went to uni in Farnham, and after graduating (and whilst I was there...) I was very scathing about the town, the uni, the people there and never really wanted to go back... but Katie's pictures of it in all it's springtime glory makes me realise why I liked it in the first place, and I should pay it a visit...
- Now that moving out is becoming a real possibility in the foreseeable future (as opposed to a far off dream) I've started to pay attention to home wares more and more, and I think I'm definitely going to try and go to the Top Drawer event next year after seeing Jesse's post on the matter, as it'll hopefully be more of a reality then.
Sorry this post isn't as long as previous editions, I am trying to write this inbetween cooking dinner for my mum (it involves roast veg and mashed potato, so I'm terrified of it all! I'm a good baker, but cooking is something else...). Hope you're all having a lovely weekend!
Definitely going to check a few of these links out - alllll the food-y type ones sound amazing and the baking fairies may pay a visit, I think... I'm really into homeware at the minute too, pity I have nowhere to move to other than more uni accommodation!
