- I discovered Ed Spence's art this week on Supersonic Electronic which used to be one of my favourite tumblrs when I was a regular user. I love the level of intricacy in his work, and his use of holographic material, which is just so amazing looking.
- The blackberry recipes are still coming in thick and fast, I'm afraid. The two I'm currently lusting over are these blackberry crumb bars and these blackberry cupcakes. I also shared my own recipe for blackberry yoghurt cake this week!
- I love anything Greek or Roman related, there is a reason I took classics at college, and I was fascinated by this article. It's kind of long, but anything titled "The Mystery of the Ancient Roman tunnel to Hell" will so catch my eye.
- Currently, I'm having a bit of a love affair with Nicki Minaj, I'm not sure why, she's been around a while but I'm recently just really into her songs. Awkwardly, I keep finding myself singing Anaconda at work. I really loved this photoshoot for Dazed & Confused - in particular, that brown knitted Marc Jacobs outfit.
- I'm not normally a huge fan of fashion bloggers, but I really loved these photographs of Ankor Wat from Lily's trip to Cambodia. I have a friend who lives in Cambodia and she was telling me the other day about how there is a massive influx of gap year backpackers at certain times of year and invade the Phnom Pen.
- These photographs of a ruined church that Jenny found are really beautiful - I can't believe that giant oak growing through the middle; it reminds me of The Secret Garden.
- I've still got cinnamon buns on my mind, and these dark chocolate + fig ones are taking the main spotlight this week, especially with that icing, oh man..
- 12 really pretty free fonts, found and paired up by the lovely SF Girl by Bay, very useful.
- Beds in corners over on Apartment Therapy is a surprisingly good thing to read - I have a day bed, which is in the corner of my room, and it can make my room look a little strange, but these people are making it work.
- You guys know my love affair with coffee, so learning how to make the perfect hot coffee is next on my agenda, for the winter. Here is a great article for using with cafetiere's.
- Since watching the bake-off, when they made those funny individual pear pie things, I've been craving pears poached in red-wine. My mum use to make them when I was younger and I never really appreciated them, being a kid, you don't, but now I reallyyy want some - this is the recipe that I think I'm going to try out, the twist on the whipped cream looks so good.
- My favourite blog this week is Creative Countryside, it's exactly the right mix of lovely photos, seasonal recipes, and, basically, the countryside.
Haha oh nooo I don't like Nicki Minaj much but I do love her song Bang Bang with Ariana Grande and Jessie J. :D The photographs of that ruined castle are insanely beautiful and thank you so much for sharing the link to the 12 free fonts! I agree, super useful! :)

ReplyDeleteI love hoarding fonts so I'm going to have to take a look at those ones you found on SF Girl by the Bay. :)
I'm seriously considering making some blackberry infused gin or vodka, it sounds so good! Blackberry wine sounds amazing, but complicated!
ReplyDeleteI've been hoarding blackberry recipes, I want an extensive collection of them for future reference! haha
ReplyDeleteAh, I'm glad you liked! x
